Description
This design is an experimentation in flat clay rolled up asymmetrically, and torn at the edges, to make a vase shape. Hand made and kiln fired to high temperature, there are varying textures around the roughened edges that make this piece very tactile. The glaze has shimmering bright colour spots, and an underlying leaf design showing though beneath the glaze. The flared opening carries a textured rim for contrast.
